"Interesting bus location"

Review: The staff were very friendly, downstairs on the bus is the kitchen. walking along the street the bus certainly stands out with its massive vegan routes sign on the side. Upstairs and outside are seating areas with upstairs being very cosy but probably being able to seat around 25 people. I had shepherds pie which was very tasty 9/10, a delicious soup, a smoothie and cake which ended up at about 17 pounds. Quite expensive but I didn't mind. All the food looked very healthy.
It would be nice if their was a bit more choice on the menu perhaps some kind of lentil burger. I'd defiantly visit again.

"It's an interesting idea to convert an old red Routemaster London bus into a vegan cafe and park it in Soho in central London. The Grumpy Vegan stumbled across Vegan Routes on his way to another restaurant and took this photo. It will be checked out on his next visit to London"

[...] Last week I discovered a fabulous new vegan café, on an old route master bus in Brewer Street, Soho. The guys running it are very genuine and radiate great energy. I spoke to the owner and he wants samples tomorrow, of chocolate pies and chocolate spread. I have been busy all day today, developing recipes. My housemate, Claire, was more than willing to lick the spoon, as a guinea pig! [...]

Go Green

Peter Cheeke
In my opinion, if most urban meat eaters were to visit an industrial broiler house, to see how the birds are raised, and could see the birds being ‘harvested’ and then being ‘processed’ in a poultry processing plant, they would not be impressed and some, perhaps many of them would swear off eating chicken and perhaps all meat.”  [Peter Cheeke, PhD Contemporary Issues in Animal Agriculture 2004 textbook]

Did you know...

...that poultry producers and pig farmers routinely use arsenic as a growth stimulant for the animals? Strangely enough, federal law permits the usage of arsenic in commercial animal raising. The trick is that the government stipulates that commercial livestock farmers must stop adding arsenic to the animal feed at least 5 days before the slaughter so that arsenic residue levels will reach a legal level that is approved by the FDA (.55 parts per million).
