Veganism is a form of vegetarianism which excludes foods that are derived from animals. VEGAN ROUTES promotes a cuisine that uses no dairy products (cheese, eggs, milk, cream) and no meat. We are not here to convert anybody or prattle on about the politics of food, or how it might have a positive effect on your health and we certainly don't want to make any statements about how it might affect your health insurance and medical bills, no- but we deeply believe that Veganism is the most environmentally responsible diet for the future of out planet. By eating organic whole foods and steering away from foods that use vast ammounts of resources to produce and transport, we lessen our impact on the eco-system. As soon as you taste our food you will forget all about distinctions such as "vegan" or not "vegan" because the resounding thought in your head will be, " Mmmn, delicious!" VEGAN ROUTES' goal is to make organic vegan food accessible and affordable for busy Londoners, to nourish and educate through food we believe in. Come on, get on the bus! As part of our educational work and catering we adopt the following practices: To ALWAYS use and promote FRESH, ORGANIC produce We DO NOT use or support the use of substitute 'meats' such as textured soya protein, and as such we do not use names like burger or sausage in our food description. We cook and heat our food with every effort to preserve its maximum nutritional benefit. We DO NOT microwave any food ever! Radiation kills! To provide sound education of the health benefits of a Vegan Route as well as the nutritional requirements of the body and their fulfillment by our food. Our first premise for a Vegan Route is our core belief we have no Right to Kill. We do not Protest, we educate. |
